About

My design journey started in high school when my mom, a lover of design and art teacher, asked me to paint a tree on our bathroom wall and my dad hand cut a shell boarder on vellum so I could stencil my bedroom.  I was known for  enlisting my parents for countless carloads of "stuff" carted back and forth to college dorms and houses to "set things up."  Looking back my parents saw and encouraged my love for design and so it was no surprise when I declared my major as interior design at Miami University.  I loved every minute of my studio time.  Diving into sample selections, developing color palettes in various intensity lines,  drafting rooms, adding electrical plans all motivated me.  The seed of creativity was planted.

Since then I've become fully immersed in the likes of  Pinterest, Houzz, and HGTV.  The landscape of design hasn't changed just the medium.  I love how this movement has inspired the everyday home owner to dream of what their home can be.  And this is where I love to engage clients to think about what can be and how they can have a space that fits them and their needs.
